An official visit by the FUFA top brass led by its President Eng. Moses Magogo, Executive member Rogers Byamukama and Chief Executive Officer Edgar Watson to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uganda Rt Honorable Ruhakana Rugunda at his Office at the Uganda Parliament is set to yield results.
Today’s visit, saw the FUFA contingent discuss with the Government business leader on matters concerning Ugandan football.
The Rt Honorable reiterated the Government of Uganda’s full commitment and promised continued support to the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) in developing the Game of football and the National Team.
The Government of Uganda has been extending a helping hand to Uganda Cranes in the past football campaigns with financial support while HE President of the Republic of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni made a personal contribution well over Shs. 1bn towards the Cranes in the 2015 Nations cup campaign.
The meeting comes at a time when FUFA is financially incapacitated putting in mind that three Nationalteam are taking part in various competitions-The Uganda Cranes-2017 AFCON Qualifiers, U-23 in the Africa U-23 Championship and the CHAN featuring in the African Nations championships.
