The FUFA Technical Master Plan spreading wings

To realise the development and extension of mass football, the Technical Master Plan focuses on human resource in football with the aim of increasing the number of trained football administrators, qualified coaches and football referees. FUFA wants to increase the number to 2,240 persons in each category by 2030.

This will require more courses in the regions and a new agenda with emphasis on football capacity building instructors in those respective areas.

This intervention is designed to ensure accessibility and cost-effectiveness of FUFA’s capacity-building programmes at regional level, enabling more football administrators, coaches, referees and goalkeeper coaches to be trained in support of mass football development at the grassroots level

‘One key characteristic of good education system and capacity building is accessibility by placing regional chief instructors under TMP implementation. New and refresher courses will be accessible to the football human resource across the country’ said FUFA Football Development Director Ali Mwebe.

The capacity building sessions are in line with the Technical Master Plan (TMP) which is built on four key pillars with one of them aimed at mass football to extend the game to every homestead in the country.
