St Mary’s College Kisubi continued with their excellent run in the ongoing FUFA Tv cup with another impressive display against Jinja College School on Friday.
SMACK defeated JICO 2-1 in the semi final at the dusty Arena to take the first leg advantage.
The home side drew first blood when forward Griffin Mwesigwa who was handed his first start put them infront in the 12th minute to send the fans in crazy celebrations.
Three minutes into the second half, intelligent skipper Mahad Mubiru doubled the lead for the hosts before Junior Kyosi got the consolation for JICO.
Kyosi’s goal was the first SMACK conceded in the FUFA Tv cup after winning their previous two games against King’s College Budo 2-0 and 0-1 respectively.
The two sides will face off again in the return leg a week later on Friday 30th June 2023 at the JICO grounds to determine who will make it through to the Inaugural final.
