Burundians Uwimana Aniella and Falone Nahimana scored a goal each for home Gafford Ladies FC who beat reigning league champions Kawempe Muslim Secondary School FC 2-1 at Cleveland College in Kyebando.

Uwimana scored a goal in the first half with a header off a corner kick which keeper Ruth Aturo failed to contain. Nahimana netted off a rebound from an initial failed penalty attempt she had taken. Gafford Ladies now on 16 points in the Victoria group remain unbeaten at home since the inception of the league in May 2015. This is the 2nd edition of the league. Kawempe are on 15 points from 6 games played so far.

The match handled by FIFA referees Marex Nkumbi Nakitto, Catherine Nagadya and Irene Namubiru was watched by FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo and former Cranes player Paul Ssali.
