The 2016/17 FUFA Women Elite League resumed on Saturday with a couple of matches on card. The match in Soroti at Olila SS sports ground left many fans yearning for more women football activities in their region on Saturday.
Gafford Ladies traveled to North East to face Olila FC with their minds set on National team player Ikwaput Fazilah. The Kyebando based side that scored a combined 10 goals (6-0 in Soroti and 4-0 at Kyebando) against Olila Women FC last season were shocked when they faced harder with another star player destroying them instead of Ikwaput.
Olila won 2-0 in Soroti thanks to Sharon Achieng’s brace.
‘It is unbelievable that we have lost this match. We shall bounce back and we need to accept that football is full of such results’ said Gafford Ladies top official Henry Barungi.
