Lady Doves 5-0 Isra Soccer Academy
Forward Fazila Ikwaput was in top notch performance on Monday as action in group B of the FUFA Women Super League got underway at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
The 2017 Airtel-FUFA Female Player of the year took the show in her hands, scoring four goals in the game to send a signal.
Right from onset, Lady Doves looked the better side and created chance after chance with Ikwaput troubling them for pace.
The breakthrough eventually came in the 23rd minute with midfielder Lydia Nyandera finding the back net.
Isra’s goalkeeper Brenda Kasana made the clearance but it fell into the path of Nyandera who did no mistake to fire into an empty.
Ikwaput got several chances to double the lead but she was twice denied by the woodwork.
In the 35th minute, she finally got the onto the score sheet with a neat finish, thanks to Joweria Nagadya’s through ball.
In the second half, Lady Doves continued with their dominance and Ikwaput stretched their lead, scoring direct from the free kick.
She completed the hat trick in the 64th minute before putting the icing on the cake with another goal two minutes from fulltime.
Lady Doves will return to action on Tuesday against Olila High School.
