She Corporate’s unbeaten run came to an end on Wednesday as the FUFA Women Super League entered matchday 13.
The Sharks who are yet to win a game in the second round were humiliated by Lady Doves FC, losing 5-0 at Katusabe Stadium in Masindi.
Last season’s top scorer and MVP Fazila Ikwaput orchestrated the damage, scoring a hat trick before Dorcus Kwikiriza and Norah Alupo added a goal each.
The result meant She Corporate FC have not won in the second round, registering two draws and one loss. Lady Doves on the other hand brightened their survival chances, moving to 13 points, three above the drop zone.
She Corporate’s loss played in Kampala Queens’ favour who moved from two goals down to salvage a point against Uganda Martyrs WFC.
Latifa Nakasi and Anita Namata had given Uganda Martyrs a 2-0 lead at the break but Kampala Queens returned recharged after recess and Resty Nanziri netted twice to snatch a point.
The point earned moved Kampala Queens FC on 26 points and on top of the table due to a superior goal difference ahead of second She Corporate FC.
Elsewhere, UCU Lady Cardinals FC returned to winning ways, defeating FC Tooro Queens 3-1 thanks to goals from Hasifa Nassuna (brace) and Mercy Nabulobi.
Mary Kabaculezi scored the consolation for FC Tooro Queens.
In Wakiso, Rines SS WFC completed a rare double over Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC, winning 2-1 at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.
Joan Ainembabazi and Eva Naggayi scored for Rines while Kawempe Muslim got their goal from defender Aisha Nantongo.
The opening game of matchday 13 between She Maroons and Olila High School ended goalless.
