Youngster Latifa Nakasi scored a first half brace to give Roger Nkugwa’s charges a perfect start in the game.

The result lifted Uganda Martyrs to second place on the log with 13 points, three behind Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC.

Kawempe on the other hand laboured to snatch a point away against a resilient She Corporates side in the game played at Luzira Prisons Ground.

She Corporates who had lost 2-0 to Olila High School over the weekend, put up a better perfoemance and created the better chances in the game but failed to put them away.

Lanky forward Favour Nambatya and new signing Ronah Nantege all came close for the Nakawa based team but were not efficient in front of goal.

This was the first time Kawempe Muslim failed to secure maximum points in a game after winning all the previous five.

The result meant Kawempe maintained its grip at the top on 16 points while She Corporates remained 6th on the log with 7 points.

Both Kawempe Muslim and She Corporates will return to action on Sunday at home against Lady Doves and Uganda Martyrs High School respectively.
