The 4th edition of the prestigious FUFA Women’s cup is set to get underway between 22nd and 23rd February 2020 after the draws of the round of 32 fixtures were conducted at the FUFA house in Mengo on Monday morning.
The draws were conducted by FUFA Competitions Director Hajat Aisha Nalule with the help of other department staff witnessed by officials and representatives from some of the clubs and members of the media.
Last year’s winners Makerere University’s She Mak St will begin their Cup defence with a trip to the north as they take on Amuria High School where as previous winners UCU Lady Cardinals and Olila High School play away to She Kataka and Edgars Girls respectively. Last year’s losing finalists Lady Doves of Masindi will start their journey with a visit to Wakiso district to play St. Noa Girls.
All the round of 32 fixtures are one legged matches implying that in case of a draw at the end of the stipulated time, spot kicks will be employed to determine the winner to join the round of 16.
