Reigning League champions Kawempe Muslim SS Senior team has been drawn to play inform Ajax Queens in the round of 16 of the FUIFA Women’s Cup.
The draw was conducted at FUFA House on Wednesday Morning.
Kawempe yet to taste defeat in the league this season, were handed a bye into this round together with She Corporates, Western United, Ajax Queens, Mutesa I Royal University, Gafford Ladies, UCU Lady Cardinals and Kampala Queens. The mentioned sides play in the FUIFA Women Elite League.
The draw from the preliminary round was based on geographical location and history in the FUFA Women Elite League.
Wakiso Hills had initially been drawn to play London Stallions but could not go ahead with the fixture as they still have players injured following an accident they suffered two weeks ago on their way to Soroti for league matches. However they mutually agreed with FUFA Competitions committee on the decision taken.
Olila SS, Kakungulu Memorial, She Mak, London Stallions, Kawempe JT, Masaka SS, Alleluyah 2008 and Taggy High School went through the qualiferis.
The matches for round of 16 will be played on 4th and 5th March.
The FUFA Competitions Director Ali Mwebe conducted the draw.
