FUFA Women’s Cup: Confirmed Round of 16 match-ups


Round of 16 Fixtures

After successful completion of the round of 32 over the weekend, the fourth edition of the FUFA Women’s Cup will move to the next stage.

With all the 16 teams now known and the road map well laid out, the fixtures for the next round are also confirmed.

Two fixtures pit teams from the FUFA Women Super League namely; Kawempe Muslim taking on UCU Lady Cardinals and She Corporate hosting inaugural winners Olila High School.

Kawempe Muslim will host UCU Lady Cardinals.

To reach this stage, She Corporate who played the final in 2018, routed Dynamic Jjeza 5-0 and this was the biggest winning margin at the round of 32.

Olila on the other hand edged past Golden Impact, winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Sheila Galenda and Immaculate Ailingat.

In the other all-FUFA Women Super League affair, 2018 Winners UCU Lady Cardinals will visit Kawempe Muslim having eliminated Gold Star at the round of 32. The latter ejected Taggy SS thanks to goals from Shakirah Nyinagahirwa and Hadijah Nandago.

In the other round of 16 match-ups, holders Makerere University will visit Isra Soccer Academy, Kampala Queens will face FC Tooro Queens, Rines SS will entertain She Maroons while Uganda Martyrs will make the trip to Fort Portal to take on She Game.

Asubo Gafford Ladies who played the final of the inaugural edition will visit GYCO Girls while Lady Doves will play against St. Noa Girls.

The round of 16 games will be played on the weekend of 18th and 19th March 2023.
