This year’s FUFA Women’s day Cup kicks off on Friday March 8 at different play grounds within Kampala City. The finals are slated for Sunday.
Over 30 teams are expected to participate. They will be classified under three categories of primary schools, secondary schools and the clubs where Mutundwe CU Primary School, Kawempe Muslim and Kampala United are defending champion respectively. The trio is expected to defend the titles.
The play grounds to be used will include Old Kampala, Kitebi P/S, Mengo P/S and Nakivubo War Memorial stadium.
In other development, FUFA has extended the period for the applicants interested in undertaking the FIFA Player Agents Examinations to Tuesday March 12.
The Examinations are scheduled for April 4 but if no person applies by the set deadline, then FUFA will officially inform FIFA of the cancellation of the exercise in Uganda. The next sitting will then be in September.
