2020 FUFA Regional Play-offs:
Gaddafi (Eastern Region) 3-0 Sansiro (North East Region)
Eastern region side Gaddafi Football Club attained a berth to the StarTimes FUFA Big League.
Gaddafi FC overcame 3-0 North East region club Sansiro 3-0 during a promotional final played on Tuesday at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.
Patrick Asiku, Mark Bamukyaaye and second half substitute Ronald Bithum Nsumbiano netted the goals.
Gaddafi joins Buganda region club, Luwero United to the second tier league.
Meanwhile, Asiku officially retired from active football in an emotional send-off.
The striker was accorded a guard of honour by fellow players moments after the game.
‘It feels good to retire on a high note especially when you score in the final match and your team wins to get promoted. This is a dream come true’ Asiku, also a former Uganda Cranes player said.
The regional play-offs continue on Wednesday with Western and Kitara regions.
