Governance: FUFA Member Associations hold Annual General Assemblies

FUFA Member Associations held their annual Assemblies over the weekend ahead of the 94th FUFA General Assembly set for 20th October 2018 in Kabale.

Uganda Beach Soccer Association conducted its Assembly on Saturday at Jevine Hotel in Rubaga. FUFAFinance Director Decolas Kiiza was the Guest of Honour.

Uganda Football Players’ Associations finished the annual activity at FUFA House Mengo on Saturday morning where the FUFA 2nd Vice President Darius Mugoye was the Chief Guest.

Buganda region Football Association assembly was held at ENRO Hotel in Mityana on Saturday.

Northern Region Football Association hosted their assembly in Kitgum on Saturday, North East Region Assembly was in in Soroti at the Association’s Headquarters while Western Region FA assembly sat Pelican Hotel Mbarara.

Uganda Football Referees Association assembled at the Special Interest Groups’ (SIGs) headquarters in Lungujja on Sunday 16th September as well the Uganda Football Coaches Association met at Mandela National Stadium on the same day.

Uganda Women Football Association and Uganda Youth Football Association finalised their assemblies two weeks ago.

West Nile Region will host its assembly this weekend on 22nd September in Yumbe whilst Kitara region FA Assembly is set for 25th September in Kagadi.

The Uganda Premier league will hold their Assembly on Saturday in Naalya.

It is in accordance with the FUFA Statutes that all Member Associations shall complete their annual assemblies before the FUFA General Assembly.

It allows resolutions and reports from Members Associations be agreed on before they are presented in the FUFA Annual General Assembly for discussion.

  • 8 regional Football Associations (Buganda, Eastern, Kampala, Northern, West Nile, North East, Kitara and Western)-48 Delegates
  • Uganda Premier League-16 Delegeates
  • FUFA Big League- 8 Delegates
  • FUFA Women Elite League-1 Delegate
  • 7 Special Interest Groups ( SIGs)- Uganda Women Football Association (2 Delegates), Uganda Football Coaches Association (2 Delegates), Uganda Football Referees Association (3 Delegates), Uganda Beach Soccer Association (2 Delegates), Uganda Schools Football Association (2 Delegates), Uganda Youth Football Association (2 Delegates), Uganda Football Players’ Association (2 Delegates).
  • Note: Tertiary Institutions, Colleges Football Association , The National Universities Football Association together with Futsal Association of Uganda are Associate Members.
