The first ever FUFA Media course has officially concluded on Friday evening at the Federation of Uganda Football Associations Technical Center in Njeru, Buikwe.
The course was closed by the second Vice President Darius Mugoye who urged the journalists to adhere to professionalism in the day to day tasks of their activities.
‘As FUFA, we are honoured to organize such a media course, the first of its kind. FUFA is an organized institution guided by a 5 year strategic plan. Capacity building and education remains part of our core targets with internal and external stake holders. Engaging the media is our priority because the media plays an intergal role in advocacy, informing the public among others’ Mugoye said in his remarks.
A total of 45 journalists (Online reporters, Written Press, photo journalists, radio, Television and Senior editors) took part in the three day’s seminar.
The closing ceremony was also attended by the FUFA Technical Director Asuman Lubowa, the course coordinator Jackson Nyiima and all the facilitators.

The FUFA President, a Certified FIFA Instructor Eng. Moses Magogo was part of the historical course where he presented about FUFA and its development programmes, club management as well as football rights and marketing.
The other Instructors lined up for the course are; Justus Mugisha (FUFA 1st Vice President and FIFA Instructor), Edgar Watson (FUFA CEO), Kiiza Decolas (FUFA Finance Director), Sam Mpiima (CAF Instructor), (FUFA Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Humphrey Mandu, Ronnie Kalema (Chairperson of Uganda Football Referees Association-UFRA and FUFA Executive Member), Geofrey Odur Ojok (Chairperson of the FUFA Legal committee), Jackson Nyiima (FUFA Education Officer) and Bashir Mutyaba (FUFA Youth Development Officer).
All the participants received certification and were officially be captured into the FUFA/FIFA Connect databank.
There were different theory and practical sessions for the participants under FUFA and its Development Programmes, CAF and its Development Programmes, FIFA and its Development Programmes, Administration and Finance, Club Management, FUFA Statutes-Regulations and Decisions, FUFA Competitions, Event Management, General Management, Planning, Refereeing, Rights and Marketing, Communications and Fans’ engagement strategies.
