INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY: Uganda Cranes to play Gambia in June

Uganda Cranes will play Gambia in an International friendly slated for 9th June 2015 at Mandela National stadium in Namboole.

While addressing the press today morning at the Federation of Uganda football Associations [FUFA] headquarters in Mengo, Uganda Cranes tactician Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredjovic announced the good news about the international friendly game and he thinks it will be helpful for him to assess his side a head the Cranes 2017 Africa Cup Of Nations qualifiers group opener against Botswana on Saturday 13th June 2015 at Namboole.

‘I want to thank FUFA for the effort to acquire us this friendly game and I think the game will give us a good atmosphere to assess the players before we take on Botswana’ said Micho

‘Gambia is a strong side and we think their test will be so crucial to us added Micho.
Also at the conference was the FUFA 2nd Vice President Darius Mugoye who presented a FUFA report from what transpired at the just concluded COPA Coca-Cola Schools championship in Hoima.

‘As FUFA we want to use this collection of 18 players selected by the Technical committee to do our best and develop youth Football in Uganda’ said Mugoye.

‘As Fufa we expect to establish Schools of excellence in each of the 8 regions to accommodate these talented young boys and also hold coaching courses for their Games’ MAsters’ added Mugoye.

‘We have also instituted regulations for teams in Azam Uganda Premier League to have an under-age team’
St Mary’s Kitende won the tournament after beating Masaka SS 4-0 in Hoima.
