Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) is grieving with the entire local football fraternity following the loss of former Uganda Cranes player Friday Ssenyonjo.
‘In this sorrowful time, we would like to extend to the family of Ssenyonjo our heartfelt condolences. May our Lord comfort you and your loved ones in this trying time’ said FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo.
Ssenyonjo who passed away on Sunday morning at his home in Kisaasi, played for Bell FC, Military FC, Express FC and SC Villa as versatile midfielder.
The Uganda Football Players’ Association (UFPA) is handling the burial arrangements.
UFPA CEO and a long time friend of the departed player, Paul Mukatabala confirmed to www.fufa.co.ug that burial would be held on Monday at 4pm.
‘It is sad to lose such a friend. Burial arrangements are in progress. He will be laid to rest in a village called Lubi along Hoima road’ said Mukatabala in low tone.
Ssenyongo was born in 1974.
