Relatives and friends have confirmed the death of Mr. James Opoka.
The deceased’s daughter only identified on phone as Brenda said, ‘its true my daddy is dead’ and she hanged up. Opoka was reportedly admitted at Mulago government referral hospital last Thursday and took his last breathe this Monday morning.
Opoka’s former workmate at UBC Television, Andrew Patrick Luwandaga said arrangements were being made to move the body to the deceased’s home in Seeta, Mukono this afternoon.
Opoka has been the Managing Director of Tele-sport Uganda Ltd, a sports company that on many occasions served as a link in the live telecast of the Cranes matches. He hails from Gulu but there are no details yet pertained to the burial programs.
