Position: MASS FOOTBALL MANAGER
Location: [Kampala, Uganda)
Department: Football Development
Supervised by: FUFA Football Development Director
Position Overview
Mass football seats at the base of football development pyramid and is one of the key pillars of FUFA TMP.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Mass Football Manager to drive our mass participation football Programmes.
The successful candidate will work closely with the FUFA Football Development Director to design, implement and manage Programmes that increase football human resources, mass participation activities, development of mass football fields and pitches for 5 aside games (futsal and beach soccer, enhance governance in mass competitions and develop beach soccer and futsal across all the FUFA Regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme Management: Elaborate, implement, and oversee activities of mass football aimed at increasing participation from grassroots age to all for men and women.
- Mass football human resources: Collaborate in development and extension of Programmes for increasing human resource for mass football from players, coaches, referees and administrators of the game across all the Regions
- Mass football competitions: Programmes to support mass football competitions, regulations, relations and stakeholder’s forum, innovations, advocacy Programmes and football equipment.
- Playground/playing surfaces: stakeholders’ engagement in development and improvement of basic playing surfaces for football, futsal and beach soccer, specific Programmes and projects for provision of footballs for mass football
- Mass football governance: Establishment of regulation and framework for regulation of mass football, development and promotion of FUFA framework for competitions authorization. Development of initiative to promote safety and security in mass football
- Beach soccer and futsal: Coordinate initiatives to develop beach soccer and futsal in cooperation with related associations governing those 5 aside games
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on program outcomes, participation statistics, and stakeholders’ feedback to the Head of department.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized University. Physical Education additional qualifications in football coaching or management are advantageous.
- Football Education: Proof of Football Administration and management course particularly FAMACO II shall be an added advantage
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in sports management, community engagement, or a similar role, preferably with a focus on football.
- Skills: Strong organisational and leadership skills with a proven ability to manage large-scale Programmes and events. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of football at grassroots levels stakeholders’ relations and project management.
- Personal Traits: Enthusiastic, proactive, and a team player with a passion for promoting all forms of football under FUFA.
- ICT: Proficient ICT skills
Position: FOOTBALL RESEARCH SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY MANAGER

Position Overview
The FUFA TMP recognises the modern-day requirement for data and technology to make informed decisions and support football on the field. Thus, the Football Research, Science, and Technology Manager will lead formulation, maintenance and management of football data, integration of cutting-edge research, scientific insights, and technological advancements into our football Programmes. This role involves overseeing research projects, implementing new technologies, and working closely with the FUFA Football Development Director to ensure that our FUFA TMP is at the forefront of global standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Sports science human resources: Shall design profiles and qualification of sports science human resource in FUFA particularly in professional side of the leagues.
- Sports science and psychology Policy design: Design a detailed FIFA Sports science policy regulating the internal and external areas of application.
- Technology Integration: Identify, evaluate, and implement technological solutions that can improve player performance, match analysis, injury prevention, and overall football development. Prepare and extend football performance standard tests. And maintain seasonal data
- Collaboration: Initiate relations for FUFA to wwork with academic institutions, research organizations, and technology providers to foster partnerships and collaborative projects that advance football science and technology.
- Data systems and Analysis: Monitor international and locally designed football data systems to aanalyse and interpret data from research and technology applications to provide actionable insights and recommendations for program improvements.
- Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive reports on research findings, technology implementations, and their impact on football development to the FUFA Football Development Director.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Sports Science, Sports Technology, Research, or a related field.
- Football Education: Proof of Football Administration and management course particularly FAMACO II shall be an added advantage
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in sports science, research, or technology management, with a proven track record in football or sports-related fields.

Position: Football Talent Identification (ID) Officer
Location: [Kampala, Uganda)

Reports to: Elite Football Development Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Talent Identification (ID) Officer to join our Football Development team. This role will involve heading scouting teams, development of talent networks in FUFA Regions and clubs, talent evaluation system, identifying football talent to support elite development Programmes in line with FUFA TMP. The Talent ID Officer will work closely with the Elite Football Development Manager and will be supervised by the FUFA Football Development Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Talent ID HR: Identify suitable profiles for individuals to train as Talent scouts for boys and girls
- Talent Scouting: Coordinate identification and assessment of potential football talents (boys and girls) across various age groups and regions.
- Evaluation: Organise or conduct thorough evaluations of players’ skills, performance, and potential to fit into our development Programmes.
- Reporting: Collect and analyze reports and recommendations to the Elite Football Development Manager on talent acquisition and development strategies.
- Collaboration: Work alongside coaches, scouts, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to talent identification and development.
- Event Coordination: Organise and oversee talent identification events, trials, and scouting missions.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of scouting reports, player profiles, and talent database online and offline.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field. Ccertifications in football coaching or scouting are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in talent scouting, player development, or a similar role within football.
- Skills: Strong understanding of football tactics, player assessment, and development. Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with FUFA’s football development structure and talent identification processes.
- Personal Traits: Passionate about football, proactive, and a team player with a keen eye for emerging talent.

Position: FOOTBALL EDUCATION OFFICER

Position Overview
Football training and education requires systematic curriculum. The FUFA TMP introduces the concept of football training curriculum for age-based training of players in development stages for boys and girls. The football player development curriculum shall therefore be a requirement for implementation through all entities engaged in training of youth players. This will require roll out, periodical review, constructive feedback and continuous development in line with the National football philosophy. The football education curriculum officer shall be responsible for this service.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Development: Support in designing, developing, and update football development curricula and training Programmes for coach educators (instructors), coaches, players, and other technical leaders.
- Program Implementation: Oversee the rollout of youth football development curriculum, ensuring effective delivery and adherence to established standards in all registered and licenses youth academies and teams.
- Training content resource Creation: Support in development of training materials, guides, and resources that support the implementation of FUFA youth football development curricula.
- Training and Support: Ensure adequate training and support to coach educators and coaches on the use of the developed football development curricula. Liase with education manager to oorganise workshops, seminars, and training sessions as needed.
- Collaboration: Work with specialized experts, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to align curricula with best practices and emerging trends in football training
- Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on curriculum development, program effectiveness, and recommendations for improvements to the FUFA Football Education Manager and department leadership
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Physical Education, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Football coaching: Candidate must be holding a minimum of CAF B coaching qualification
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in education and curriculum related development.
- Skills: Strong skills in curriculum design, program management, and educational resource development. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Knowledge: Understanding of football coaching methodologies, player development, and educational best practices. Familiarity with national and international football education standards.
ICT: Proficient ICT skills in both software and hardware
