Jolly Kobusinge: Our target is to play at the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup

Defender Jolly Kobusinge is optimistic Uganda has the ability to play at next year’s FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.

The left back believes the current squad in camp at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru preparing to face Kenya in the Qualifiers has the ability to go all the way and attain the aforementioned target.

“For us as a team, our main objective is qualify for the World Cup and we are working towards achieving that. Everyone from coaches to players is focused towards the target. ” She noted.

Kobusinge is who the captain at FUFA Women Super League outfit Tooro Queens is also thankful that the technical team appointed him as one of the player leaders.

“It is my pleasure to be summoned to the Uganda U20 Women’s National Team and I’m very privileged for the technical team to have appointed me as the assistant captain.”

Fauzia Najjemba, Aisha Nantongo and Kobusinge were appointed as captain, 1st assistant captain and 2nd assistant captain in that order.

Uganda will play Kenya in Nairobi between 23rd -25th September before a return leg in Kampala two weeks later.
