KCC FC vs CRO FC
Time: 4.30pm
League: FUFA Super League
Venue: KCCA stadium, Lugogo
Charges:
KCC Fc fans are likely to turn up in big numbers to cheer on their heroes who knocked out El Merreikh from the CAF Champions league when the FUFA Super League (FSL) action resumes today with only one game on card.
It was an electric atmosphere following the final whistle last Saturday at Mandela National stadium, Namboole when league champions KCC FC advanced to the next stage of the continental premier club championship. They had knocked out the Sudanese side 3-2 on aggregate.
The fans will be hoping for their players to pick up their first win of the second round of the FSL when they play their opener. On paper it looks an easy game but the bottom placed club has already shocked teams on their home grounds. CRO’s two wins this season in the league have come against Entebbe FC at Wankulukuku stadium and SC Villa at Nakivubo stadium.
So, will CRO bring down KCC FC this afternoon at Lugogo?
‘We are focused to win this game because we need the points. We don’t want to create any serious points’ gap between us and our title challengers’ said KCC FC coach George Nsimbe.
CRO have already held second placed Kiira Young to a goalless draw in their opening game of the second round.
They seem to be determined more than ever to remain in the top flight.
KCC Fc won 7-0 in the first round against CRO in a match that was played in Mbale. The reigning champions are 5th on the table with 27 points and a win will take them to third, two points behind leaders Vipers (32 points). CRO have managed two wins and a draw amassing 7 points in 16 outings so far.
