The FUFA Licensing Committee headed by Dr. Patrick Bernard Ogwel has cleared Lweza FC by granting them a provisional license to play in the Azam Uganda Premier League 2015/2016 season.
Lweza FC has been struggling to meet the requirements for club registration and licensing as their matter for admission back to the top flight had to be settled by the FUFA Appeals Committee.
FUFA’s communication to Lweza FC following the successful verification of their documents by the FUFA Licensing Committee was released over the weekend.
‘The FUFA Licensing Committee (FLC) has reviewed your latest submission for your club registration and Licensing after successful appeal with the FUFA Appeals Committee. The 6th FUFA Licensing Committee meeting has granted you provisional License to participate in the Azam Uganda Premier Leaguewith immediate effect’ read part of the letter signed by Decolas Kiiza on behalf of the FUFA CEO Edgar Watson.
Lweza has now been included in the fixtures and will open their league campaign against Soana FC in Kavumba on 29th August, 2015.
Meanwhile the postponed fixtures involving Sc Villa Jogoo, Maroons, BUL, Lweza, SCVU have been rescheduled by the Uganda Premier League.
Here are the new fixtures for the above mentioned teams after their games were postponed.
