
FUFA Senior Vice President in charge of Administration Eng. Moses Magogo will officially represent the federation at the burial of the late James Godfrey Opoka this Thursday, March 7.
By the time of issuing this statement, Magogo was due to leave Kampala for Gulu to attend the burial tomorrow. The late Opoka will be buried at his ancestral cemetery at Bwobo Ma-nam, about 10km out of Gulu Municipal Council centre.
A memorial church service was held at St. Stephen’s church in Bugoloobi on Wednesday morning and thereafter the body was driven to Gulu. Born to Adoris and Jesca Ochieng, Opoka survives with a widow and four children.
He went to Mwiri P/S in 1969 before joining Mwiri College School (1973-1975). He later joined the then Institute of Public administration (now Management Institute) in 1981 for a diploma in journalism.
He had since underwent a lot of trainings in TV programming and production in Germany and Kenya. RIP!
