Maroons FC excluded from FUFA Super League

Executive Committee session in progress

The FUFA Executive Committee sitting this Friday afternoon 14th September 2012 at the Federation headquarters in Mengo has on recommendation of the FUFA Licensing Board and the Competitions Committee excluded Maroons Football Club from participating in the FUFA Super League for non compliance.

Maroons, a club owned by Uganda Prisons with its base in Luzira was the only club by closure of the licensing deadline that had failed to submit their compliance forms to the Competitions committee.

The Executive committee has recommended the competitions committee to replace Maroons with a club from the FUFA Big League in order of sporting merit.

The Executive Committee has further warned clubs licenced by the FUFA Licencing Board against participating in any other competitions not recognized by FUFA. Such culprits shall be liable to disciplinary actions under the FIFA and FUFA statutes and Regulations.
