Uganda Cranes players who never traveled with the rest of the team to Kumasi for this Saturday’s 2015Nations cup qualifier against Ghana, had another day of training at KCC Stadium in Lugogo inclusive of South Africa based striker Geoffrey Massa.
Star striker Massa was unable to travel with the first team that is preparing to face Ghana on Saturday because he was released late by his club Pretoria University but was asked to link up with the players in camp under coach Frank Anyau at Sky Hotel in Nalya.
‘I am okay with the training and I am in good shape because I have been getting playing time at my club. I guess I will be able to help the team in our next encounter against Guinea next week’ said Massa shortly after training.
‘I am happy with the turn up in camp. The attitude is good and a very crucial element in such circumstances. The players are very positive and committed’ commented Anyau.
FUFA Technical Committee chairman Hamid Juma was happy with the training this evening.
‘The training is going on well. Massa has joined and I am happy to tell that he is in good shape’ said Juma.
The players were involved in some drills of shooting practice. There was also positive news on Brian Majweg’s injury. The KCC FC left winger is feeling slight pain.
