MICHO: Miya’s return brings new lease of life into the team

Uganda Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic believes that Faruku Miya’s resumption of training has brought smiles to many faces of the players in camp.

‘When one of your best players returns from injury is good news to the rest to the team’ said Micho who welcomed back his captain to the evening training session at the outer pitch at Umuganda stadium.

Miya was involved in all the team’s drills and looked lively.

On chances Miya being featured in the Uganda Cranes final group D match against Zimbabwe on Wednesday, the Serbian was non-committal on any decision he might take.

‘No match is bigger than a player. We had the chance to use Miya against Zambia but decided to reserve him so that he comes back fully fit. Let us wait for next two days to assess his fitness levels’ said Micho.
