Mulindwa appointed CECAFA Vice Chairman

Former President of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) Lawrence Mulindwa has been appointed new Vice chairman of Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA).

The appointment by CECAFA chairman Leodegar Tenga which takes immediate effect was announced in a communication signed by CEACFA General Secretary Nicholas Musonye.

Mulindwa’s profile at CECAFA has been on a steady rise as he was also voted one of the four Executive Committee members of the regional football body in November last year.

Mulindwa served at the helm of Uganda football for eight years since 2005 but now holds the title of Honorary President of FUFA.

The President of FUFA Engineer Moses Magogo congratulated Lawrence Mulindwa upon his new appointment.

‘He is a good leader and I’m confident the region will benefit from his qualities in football administration’ said Magogo.
