Communications Training for Media Officers of the Uganda Premier League Clubs and National teams 18th – 21st July 2018 in Njeru
New dates for the FUFA Media Week have been released. The initial dates have been dropped for the new arrangement that will cater for the FUFA Communications Workshop also organised for the Uganda premier League and Regional FA Media Officers.
The new date for the FUFA/USPA Media Engagement Day is 24th July at Imperial Royale Hotel while the FUFA Communications Workshop will run from 17th to 21st July 2018 at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
With football growing each passing day, FUFA and Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) will hold a one-day session at which the local soccer governing body will welcome questions from the members of the sports media on any topic about Ugandan football.
FUFA Communications Manager Ahmed Hussein confirmed the new dates.
‘The FUFA/USPA Media Day will give the sports media an opportunity to learn more about the activities, systems, projects and how the game is run in the country by FUFA’ said Hussein.
‘Such sessions allow FUFA to reach out to the sports media and also create a platform for them to learn more about the institution and also ask questions. This was at the request of USPA who needed to learn more about FUFA’ added Hussein.
‘Communication is important in football development and media adds value in the process. We are very much aware of the kind of support the media has extended to the sport through their balanced reports. FUFA will be heavily represented during the session to interact with the sports media on the day’
In our bid to provide educational opportunities at subsidized rates to our Members, a discounted fee of 250,000/- will be paid for by each Member Association (Uganda premier clubs, Big League clubs and the 8 Regional Football Associations) for every participant for this course.
