The Odilo Primary Championship Boys Edition 2024 has reached the semifinals after an entertaining group stage display.
From Group A, Aosis Primary School from Arua advanced after their 1-0 win against St. Catherine of Siena from Hoima, securing six points to top the group. The win was courtesy of an own goal by Christopher Okello, which gave the West Nile representatives a reason to smile at the final whistle.
St. Catherine of Siena also advanced to the semifinals with four points, thanks to a superior goal difference over Green Valley while Vision for Children finished with two points.
In Group B, Rays of Grace from Buikwe dominated Source of Hope from Sironko in a one sided 6-0 victory. Yowasi Muganda’s brace, Douglas Kawuma’s hat trick and a goal from Valencia Balidawa secured the win for the Buganda Region representatives earning six points to top the table and advance to the semifinals.
St. Mary’s Primary School from Kampala also advanced to the semifinals after a goalless draw against the Agago based Paorihner Primary School, collecting five points. Paorihner Primary School finished third with four points while Source of Hope ended with one point.
