Obituary: Former Uganda Cranes kits manager Saidi Lugolobi passes on

The football fraternity and the sporting family in general has been treated to sad news on Friday evening about the untimely death of former Uganda Cranes kits manager, Saidi Lugolobi.

Lugolobi was pronounced dead after some time of sickness.

He will be laid to rest at his ancestral home in Namagoma (4 PM) on Saturday, 8th June 2019.

‘A Crane Rests… A member of the historical 2017 Uganda Cranes Team that qualified back to AFCON after 39 years  passed on Friday afternoon. Inalilah wa inalilah rajihu’ eulogized the FUFA President, Eng. Moses Magogo.

‘Saidi Lugolobi loved his job. He was professional in his line of duty. It was a tough job especially working  under the different coaches who fronted professionalism. I can only pray to him and Allah strengthen his family’ FUFA Communications manager, Ahmed Hussein.

Saidi Lugolobi (Saido) was the Uganda Cranes kits manager at the 2017 Afcon finals in Gabon.

He was also part of the contingent at the 2018 CHAN finals in Morocco and has been part of the team in a number of competitions locally and internationally.
