West Nile Champions Oasis Primary School came back to winning ways with a 3-0 triumph over Fort City side, Nyakasura Primary School. Having lost 3-1 yesterday on Matchday two, Happy Jackline and Hope Christine’s long-range efforts both found the back of the net as Monday Stella put in the third with a tap-in. The win meant Oasis tops Group A after the end of the group.
In the other Group A action, Kawempe-based, Kampala Region representatives Habanomu Quality Academy beat Rwamuhuga Primary School from Bushenyi in Western Uganda a goal to nil. Iziba Gift’s effort was the last holding nail for Habanomu to cruise into the semis, after completing their groupings as runners-up.
In Group B, Amuca Primary School’s Ajok Silha scored the only hat-trick of the day in their 3-1 win over Aterai Primary School from Kumi in the North Eastern Region. Aterai, who equalled a first-half lead of Amuca through Ajia Anna Mary shortly after the restart of the second half triggered latter into adding the next two to determine the result at full time.
Meanwhile, Bergen on Pitch 1 almost got ripped of all the points, getting it late to equalize through a spot kick converted by Nabakooza Cathy after a foul on substitute Namanda Rinet. Rinet, who was brought on immediately after Bergen conceded through Naluwaga Hanifa would be like the missing piece in their team today, making runs resulting into the foul.
Bergen finished top of their Group B and will face Second placed Habanomu Quality Academy in their Semi Final, as Oasis Primary School faces Prime View Edication Centre.
