The final stage of the FUFA Primary Schools Championship ‘ODILO’ kicked off today in Njeru where the finals will be held until the 7th of August 2019 when the grand finale will be played to determine which school becomes the winners of the tourney in its inaugural edition.
8 teams representing the 8 football regions participated in a game each on matchday 1. A total of 16 goals were netted
In the first game, Bright Valley Primary School from Gulu District and Northern region overcame Green Valley Primary school representing Western in from Mbarara.
Both Thomas Juma and Ayella Christopher scored a brace each to give Bright Valley a 4-1 Victory over Green valley. The lone goal for Green valley primary school was scored by Musimenta Martin the dying minutes of the game to console his team.
In the second game, Rays of Grace Primary School of Buikwe District representing Buganda region came from behind and scored twice against one to claim victory over Citizen Primary School Makindye representing Kampala Region.
The match ended 2-1 in favor of Rays of Grace Primary School. Nkoola Arafat, Ronald Kasanya scored for Rays of Grace and Mukaga Mike for Citizen Parents Primary School.
Busumbu Primary school from Manafwa Eastern region punished their neighbours from Serere District Nort Eastern region 3-0 to secure their place in the last four. Webisa Hussein scored twice with the third goal scored by Wepukhulu Levi.
In the last game of the day, Oasis Annex Primary School from Arua – West Nile region beat Tooro Boarding Primary school 3-1.
Mungufeni Calvary, Fideli Moses, Toure Yahaya scored for Oasis Annex while Arinaitwe Sharif for Tooro Boarding Primary School
The action continues on march day 2 (Monday 5th August) with four games on the card.

The Odilo National final playoffs will be held on Wednesday 7th August 2019 at the same venue
