Pictorial: Fashion, class and elegance at 2016/17 Azam Uganda Premier League Awards

Wednesday, 26th July 2017 was one of the most awaited days on the domestic football calendar.

It marked the crowing night for the best performers during the 2016/17 Azam Uganda Premier league season at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala.

www.fufa.co.ug captured some of the captivating colorful memories at the high class event organized by the Uganda Premier League, Azam Media and Kibo Media.

Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) football club striker Geofrey Sserunkuma took home a lion’s share of accolades.

Sserunkuma was the Most Valuable Player, top scorer, fans’ player of the year and was also named on the team of the year,  taking home four different awards.

The FUFA President, Eng, Moses Magogo was among the high profile guest list that included Members of parliament, National Council of sports, Government officials, representatives from sponsors, fans, active and retired players  as well as referees.

Sserunkuma was also rewarded with a car.

The main league sponsors Azam Television were joined by the other partners Nile Breweries Limited, Bidco Uganda Limited  and Betway to make the event a complete success.
