Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA), like all corporate entities world over held their end of year party on Thursday, 22nd December 2016 at the Kenlon Royal Gardens in Mengo, Kampala.
The party was organised for the staff in the various departments to reflect back on the great months past, appreciate the services of personnel as well as make projections for the future.

Delighted staff gathered to break off from the usually demanding Monday-Monday football work schedules of the largely successful footballing year where the Uganda Cranes broke the chains of misfortune and sheer ill omen to qualify for the biggest continental football fiesta, the Total Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), for the first time in over 39 years under FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo.

In the same year, Uganda hosted the first CECAFA Women Championship at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru since 1986 when the event had last been held in Zanzibar.
During the party, the best male and female employees at FUFA were recognized and rewarded with prizes as well as appreciative incentives.

Dennis Lukambi, the FUFA Legal Officer and Lukia Nambi (General Duties) were named the best male and female employees of 2016 respectively.
FUFA President has for the 3rd year running given each of the best employees of the year a financial incentive worth their monthly salaries.

‘The 13th month will be maintained and given to the best employees each year. Let’s keep the fire burning as we have another challenging year ahead’ said FUFA President.

FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo attended the well attended and organised event also graced by the FUFA CEO, Edgar Watson, 2nd Vice President Darius Mugoye, the different heads of department and staff.
This is one of those days of the year that we live to cheer about as one family.
I am very excited of the teamwork at FUFA since success is never a one man’s show or efforts.
Starting 2017, FUFA will introduce monthly accolades to motivate workers. The best employee will get a bonus of half of their pay once selected.
The different departments at FUFA; Competitions, Refereeing, Communications, Marketing, Office of the President, Office of the CEO, Legal and the fast sprouting 102.1 FUFA f.m where all all ably represented.
There was an exchange of gifts and pleasantries between the different workers before dinner and the long awaited cake cutting event.
FUFA remains committed towards preaching teamwork as a way of achieving as a block entity for the general development of football in Uganda forever.
