The year 2018 will come to a close next week but FUFA Secretariat staff had a few activities before saying goodbye to 365 memorable days that saw Uganda Cranes and Uganda U17 (Cubs) qualify for 2019 AFCON finals. The same year had good news for Uganda being handed the hosting rights of the 2020 AFCON Beach Soccer Finals.
However a team building session at the Extreme Adventure Park in Busiika on Sunday gave the Secretariat staff an opportunity to learn more about each other.

The Team Building session was expertly conducted by a five man team from Precious Real Moments. The staff was taken through the targets for 2019 by FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo to be achieved by each department within FUFA’s 8 key focus areas; Governance, Development, Infrastructure, National teams, Competitions, Marketing and Communications, Finance and Administration, Membership.

‘You have the opportunity to be part of the secretariat as you enter the New Year 2019. The FUFA Executive has all the trust in the Secretariat to deliver. We need to raise the bar even higher because the public will not stop demanding for the best from FUFA’ said FUFA President.
The session was also attended by the FUFA 2nd Vice President Darius Mugoye. He told the staff that the future of football is brighter and asked the employees to remain calm during challenging moments.

‘This is the best moment ever to work for FUFA. The public have an impression already that this is the best sports federation in Uganda. It is now harder than before to join the Secretariat. Challenges call for loyalty’ said Mugoye.
The FUFA CEO Edgar Watson was a jolly man at the end of the classroom sessions that saw FUFA President present on the key focus areas and roles of each Directorate. Watson told the Secretariat staff that team work is key to success.

‘Team work leads to success. Let us learn how to execute our duties and the rest will happen automatically. We need to fight for supremacy at the top of African football but that can be achieved with a lot of team work’ said Watson
