Pictorial: Players reap big from the FUFA Drum Man of the match cash, accolades at 2019 Quarter final stage

Semi-final 1: Saturday, 7th December – Acholi Vs Bugisu – At Pece War Memorial Stadium, Gulu (4 PM)

Semi-final 2: Sunday, 8th December – Lango Vs Bukedi – At Akii Bua Stadium, Lira (4 PM)

Like the norm has been since inception of the FUFA Drum Tournament in 2018, all the outstanding performers in the respective matches have been rewarded with Shs 100,000/= and a plaque after every game.

All Match of the Match Winners for the 2019 FUFA DRUM Quarter finals:

Match Day 1:

  • Busoga 1-1 West Nile: Fred Amaku (West Nile)

Match Day 5:

  • Busoga 3-4 Bugisu – Steven Bukoma (Bugisu)
Goalkeeper – Cum- Striker Steven Mukomba scored twice in Bugisu’s 4-3 win against Busoga and won the man of the match accolade
  • Lango 1-3 West Nile- Abdulmalick Vitalis Tabu (West Nile)
Abdulmalick Vitalis Tabu of West Nile was man of the match against Lango. West Nile won 3-1 with Tabu scoring in the final minutes of the game

Match Day 6:

  • Acholi 1-1 Bukedi – Patrick Wafula (Bukedi)

  • Buganda 1-0 Tooro – Ronald Ssekiganda (Buganda)

Eagle Poa beer, a brand of Nile Breweries Limited is the tournament main sponsors having joined the partners as Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) and National Insurance Corporation (NIC).

The winner of the FUFA Drum Tournament will earn Shs 32M.

The theme of the tournament is “Celebrating Our Ancestry”.
