Queen Cranes Complete Double Victory Over Namibia in FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers

The Queens completed their double against Namibia today in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers at the FUFA Stadium Kadiba.

In the 32nd minute, the Queens pushed for an opener and finally got it through player Peace Muduwa. This boosted the morale for the girls, who opted to look for a second goal to extend their lead in the first half.

In the 40th minute, the Queens extended their lead with a sweet finish from Agnes Nabukenya, and this took their lead to 2-0.

In the 42nd minute, Namibia’s Jullita Berndt paved the way for Anna Marie Kotze, and the half ended 2-0 after two minutes of additional time.

The second half started again with much resilience from the Queens. In the 46th minute, Coach Sherly Ulanda Botes made four changes; Lilian Nakirya paved way for Juliet Adeke, Imelda Kasemire paved way for Zabinah Nambozo, Peace Muduwa paved way for Monica Nanono, and Patricia Nayiga paved way for Esther Nangendo.

The Queens continued to search for a goal in the second half to extend their lead to 3, but their efforts did not yield fruit. In the 70th minute Sylvia Kabene paved way for Mary Kantono and the second half come to an end with no goals scored from both team.

Queens Cranes have have completed a double win over Namibia with a 5.0 win on average the first leg ended 3-0 and a 2.0 win today In the second leg. The Queens now wait for a winner between Burundi and Zambia in their next stage of Qualification.
