Enthusiasm is very high here in Mityana town a head of Saturday’s opening match of the Masaza Cup edition for the year 2012.
Hosts Ssingo had their last training session at Ssaza Ground Friday evening with their head Coach Wasswa Bbosa urging players to avoid ‘humiliation’ before his Majesty the King of Buganda. Ssingo takes on neighbours Buwekula in a highly anticipated encounter.
Coach Kiwi who guided Buruli to their first Masaza cup title in 2011 had his tactical services hired by Buwekula this season. He carried with him most of the players that edged Bulemeezi 2-1 in the finalsplayed on September 20 in Nakivubo.
FIFA referee Brian Nsubuga has replaced Ali Kalyango as centre referee following the sudden death of Kalyango’s mother. Nsubuga will be assisted by Hussein Bugembe and Samuel Kayondo in a match to kick off at 4:00pm prompt. Ronnie Kalema is the fourth official.
The tournament will be officially flagged off by the King himself who arrived in Mityana Friday evening.
Entrace fees have been put at Shs.10.000 for open stands and Shs.30.000 for the pavilion.
