In a bid to further up lift the standards of refereeing in the entire country, the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) will continue to set standards in the department.
About 30 referee assessors are at the FUFA Technical center undertaking the referee assessors’ course, which is meant to further act as a directional tool box ahead of the vigorous football season.
In the same vein, a month ago, over 250 referees across all the eight FUFA regions were engaged in the promotional examinations.
Results from the examinations were officially released on Wednesday by the chairperson, FUFA referees’ committee, Chris Kalibala.
‘FUFA referees assessors’ course is compulsory for all the active referee assessors in the country. It is intended to further prepare them ahead of the season to come.’ Kalibala asserted.

He handed over the results from the promotional exercise that was held in Buganda, Kampala, Western, Kitara, North East, Eastern and West Nile regions.
250 national referees participated in the referees’ promotional exercise.
Two thirds of the referees passed the examinations (theory and practicals) with overwhelming flying colours.
Results for each and every referee can be accessed from the offices of the regional headquarters.
