Referees: Medical tests underway

 

The first referees’ medical check-up exercise of the year is on at FUFA House, Mengo.  The exercise is conducted by the FUFA Medical standing committee with the supervision of the referees standing committee.  The FUFA Super League and Big League referees totaling to about 80 are at currently at FUFA with each one of them patiently waiting for their turn.

Uganda Cranes Doctor Ronald Kisolo and Dr. Ddungu Ahmed are handling the exercise that started at 10 O’clock this morning and ends later today. After today’s exercise the referees will have a physical fitness test at Mandela National stadium tomorrow starting as early as 7am.

‘A referee’s fitness and health must be at the top most level for him or her to handle a game properly. We are not taking chances, that is why we are conducting this exercise’ said Kisolo

What is involved in the medical check-up?

Examination of: Muscles, heart, teeth, joints, eyes, body, blood pressure, any impairment on ears, eyes and hands.
