Uganda Cranes Regional Tours 2017:
- Eastern Region Select 0-3 Uganda Cranes
Since the AFCON 2017 tournament in Gabon, the Uganda Cranes has resumed action with a domestic tour of Eastern Uganda code named ‘Uganda Cranes Regional Tours 2017’.
It was a convincing 3-0 result for the national side past a select side from Eastern Uganda at the Kamuli Park Municipal Stadium on Sunday evening.

Proline striker Nelson Senkatuka volleyed home the opener after 11 minutes.
SC Villa’s winger Martin Kiiza doubled the advantage with a well struck free-kick past goalkeeper Hannington Ssebwalunyo before team captain Emmanuel Okwi grabbed the third on the day.

Head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredejovic was impressed by the overall performance on the day particularly from the first half.
Such matches have always helped us to prepare for future engagements and as well, bring the stars to the fans in their own localities.
The performance on the day is good and promising. We have key important matches next week (against Kenya and the French Military team) that we are building for”
Micho fielded two different line ups for either halves.

The FUFA President, Eng. Moses Magogo was among the hundreds who braved the scorching sun to catch the game live.
Eng. Magogo was flanked by many of the Eastern region delegates and other accompanying FUFA officials.
