ROAD TO CHAN 2016: Victorious Cranes Back from Zanzibar, Focused for Return Leg

The triumphant Uganda Cranes team returned home early Monday morning from Zanzibar via Tanzania and Ethiopia with the Ethiopian Airlines flight ET 338.

All the team players and officials returned safely from the successful trip of the first leg of the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) after overcoming the home team, Tanzania in a 3-0 humiliation.

In Zanzibar at the Amman stadium, Uganda scored through Erisa Ssekisambu’s brace that was supplemented by a late Farouk Miya penalty.

We expect to start training as soon as possible. We shall let the media know when the players are resuming training after a technical committee meeting

The players now take a break before resuming preparations for the return leg that comes on July 4th 2015.
