Uganda Kobs (National under 23 side) overcame Rwanda by 2-1 in the first leg of the U-23 CAF/olympic 2016 qualifier at Amahoro stadium in Kigali.

Uganda carried a 1-0 goal lead coming into the half time recess before Rwanda equalized on 60 minutes through Dominique Savio Nshuti.

Uganda technical bench headed by coach Micho called for two quick changes thereafter.

Left footed midfielder, Martin Kizza replaced Tom Matisko in the first change.
Muzamiru Mutyaba was the second Kobs player replaced for Erisa Ssekisambu.

Later, Tadeo Lwanga came in for Kezironi Kizito in Kobs’ final change on the day.
Mutyaba, who plies his domestic trade with Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) got the winner – thanks to John Ssemazi’s well laid ball from the left.

The Kobs will carry this lead come the second leg on the 30th May 2015 at Nakivubo Stadium in Kampala.

The winner over the two legs will play Egypt at the next stage for a place at the finals in Senegal.
