Uganda National Beach Soccer team continued with its preparations for the final hurdle of Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers by defeating Jinja Lions BSC in a practice game played on Wednesday at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
The Sand Cranes were dominant right from onset, eventually going ahead to win the game 12-4.
Nicholas Mwere led the way with a hat trick while Ambrose Kigozi and Joshua Lubwama struck a brace apiece.
The other goals came from Allan Katwe, Rica Byaruhanga , Paul Lule, Godfrey Lwesibawa and Brian Nkuubi.
Jinja Lions got their goals through Pascal Ngobi Pascal ,Ivan Waako, Arafat Wandera and an own goal by Katwe.
Uganda is preparing to host Comoros on 7th August in the return leg of Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers 2022, Mozambique.
It should be noted that the Sand Cranes won the reverse fixture 5-2.
Coach Salim Jamal Muwonge believes his charges are ready to complete the job and return to the coveted Africa Cup of Nations.
"Since we returned from Comoros, our emphasis has been on being efficient both in defending and going forward. I am confident the players will be able to complete the task this weekend." He said.
