Uganda National Beach Soccer Team (Sand Cranes) Head Coach, Salim Jamal Muwonge has on Thursday confirmed the final squad that will travel for the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations 2022 Qualifier game against Comoros.
The game slated for Sunday, 24th July 2022 will be the first leg for the encounter between the two nations.
The team named is composed of 15 players, including two goalkeepers, five defenders and eight forwards.
They depart the country on Friday morning (3:45am) to Comoros aboard Kenya Airlines.
Muwonge is optimistic that his charges will put up a great fight having trained well at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.
‘We have had good training for this game and we expect to get positive results away. The players are in the right mood mentally and physically.’ Muwonge stated.
Uganda is seeking to return to the final tournament for the second successive time having played at the 2021 edition in Senegal where the team reached the semifinals.
