Sports Club Villa Jogoo and Bright Stars recorded home victories in the match day nine games of the Azam Uganda Premier League on Tuesday.

SC Villa overcame The Saints 2-1 at the Nelson Mandela National stadium in a fixture televised live on Azam T.V.

Alex Kitata scored the opening goal before Godfrey Lwesibawa’s wonder strike doubled the Jogoo’s advantage.

George Ssenkaaba pulled a goal back with five minutes to play and create a tense finish to the game.

At the Champions stadium in Mwererwe, Bright Stars won 2-1 against visiting Jinja side Bul.

Baker Lukooya had given the Lato Milk and Fero Mobile sponsored Bright Stars the lead with an acrobatic effort seven minutes into the opening half.

Titus Tibiita replied for Frank Anyau’s side but John Kokas Opejo had other ideas altogether with a late winner, four minutes to full time.

Kirinya-Jinja S.S held KCCA to a one all draw. Johnson Wakalaita’s penalty canceled Joseph Ochaya’s opener.

Sadolin Paints and Lweza played to yet another 1 all draw at the Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

Norman Ogik gave Sadolin Paints the lead after just five minutes. Hassan Kikoyo replied for the home side late in the game.

The league resumes on Friday with one match (Police Vs Express at Kavumba Recreational Stadium) before continuing on Saturday with three games.
