SC Villa appeals decision taken by FUFA Disciplinary committee

Title chasing Sc Villa have lodged an appeal trying to reverse a decision taken by the FUFA disciplinary committee regarding the initial award of points in the game the Jogoos played against URA in the Azam Uganda Premier League. URA is alleged to have used a suspended player Said Kyeyune in the mentioned match.

In a statement which Villa released this afternoon it reads ‘This statement is to express our displeasure and dissatisfaction with the verdict because there was conflict of interest. One member of the committee was supposed to withdraw himself from the committee as stipulated by the Fufa Disciplinary Code. That official never did that. It’s on that and more grounds that we appeal this verdict’

In their statement they further wrote that ‘our plea to the FUFA Appeals Committee through the FUFA Competitions is to have our game against Vipers postponed from Friday 15, until our appeal is disposed off’

The statement was signed by Sc Villa’s CEO Ivan Kakembo.

‘FUFA is in receipt of the Appeals letter from Villa and we shall communicate to the Chairman of the Appeals committee Mr. Richard Kiboneka and his team to handle the matter’said FUFA CEO Edgar Watson.
