Soltilo Bright Stars eject KCCA as Maroons, BUL on the road | Stanbic Uganda Cup

SOLTILO BRIGHT STARS football club progressed to the round of 16 for the Stanbic Uganda Cup tournament after defeating Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) 1-0 at Lugogo.

Marvin Youngman scored the all important goal for Soltilo Bright Stars.

The early kick off at the same venue had Police pip Gaddafi 1-0 with Juma Balinya on target in the 63rd minute.

Maroons beat Ateker 3-0 in Soroti to advance for the round of 16. Forward Fred Amaku scored twice and Abraham Tusubiira added the other goal.

BUL overcame rival side Busoga United 3-0 at the Kakindu Stadium in Jinja during the derby contest.

Karim Ndugwa netted a brace and former Uganda U-17 defender Walter Ochora scored the third goal on the stroke of full time.

Next games:

Cup holders Vipers visit Kalongo United and URA is away to Mbarara City on Saturday, 26th February 2022.

On the same day, Kajjansi, conquerors of MYDA at the round of 64 will play Booma at Masindi stadium.

Stanbic Bank Uganda is the main sponsor of this tournament. Kansai Plascon is the other partner.
