Monsoon Group:
1.MUBS vs Stormers
2. Zaba vs Buwanika Bulls
3. Sand Pirates vs YMCA
4. Talented vs Real Galacticals
Hurriken Group:
1. Nkumba Select vs St. Lawrence University
2. IUEA vs Braza Braza
3. Kayunga T.C vs Mutesa 1 University
4. Dalumba-Richmonds vs KIU
Two star studdered clubs, Nkumba Select and St Lawrence University face each other as the Pepsi sponsored national beach soccer league returns with eight match day 9 fixtures on Sunday, 25th January 2015.
Four of these fixtures will be played in the Hurriken group as another set of 4 will be honoured in the Monsoon group.
Nkumba Select, last year’s runners up (to winners, Kira Young) boost of new signing, Elvis Kiberu and goal keeper, Joseph Yiga who join Sand Cranes deputy skipper, Douglas Muganga, striker Roch Somoka, Yasser Mugerwa and goalie, Kassim Ssenteza Okuku.
St Lawrence on the other hand hopes to rely on two of the most profilic strikers in the league – Phillip Rwezawula and Emma Kalyowa for inspiration.
Fast improving Hurriken group team, Dalumba Richmonds take on Kampala International University(KIU) in a another highly billed encounter.
The Dalumba Richmond will look to their new recruits, Nicholas Kamya and Jonathan Kikonyogo to join the old crop of team as goal keeper, Ronald Mutebi, the dribbling ace John Kokas Opejo among others are the rest of the players out to inspire the team.
KIU will look to the magic of their skipper, Ismail Kagingo, Nigerian born Isaac Eshioke and Geofrey Akabwayi, whose consistent performances have always lifted the side.
Kagingo, is one of the 20 players who were recently summoned for Uganda Sand Cranes that starts non residential training on Monday in preparation for the upcoming CAF Beach Soccer championship qualifier against Cameroon between 12-14th February 2015 in Yauonde.
Rest of the Fixtures:
International University of East Africa (IUEA) plays Braza Braza as Kayunga Town Council entertains Mutesa 1 Univesity.
Moonson Group Games:
The 4 Moonson group fixtures will see run away log leaders, Makerere University Business School (MUBS) play Stormers.
Zaba Super Market hosts Buwanika Bulls, Sand Pirates play YMCA as Talented will be engaged in a duel with Real Galacticals.
The games start at 11 a.m. The league is organized by the Uganda Beach Soccer Association as mandated by FUFA.
