Stanbic Uganda Cup 2018/19: KCCA kicks off defence in style with big win over Amuka Bright Stars

Stanbic Uganda Cup 2018/19 (Round of 64):

KCCA 8-2 Amuka Bright Stars

Stanbic Uganda Cup holders Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Football Club sent out a big statement as they eye a successful cup defence.

On boxing day, KCCA FC humiliated visiting Amuka Bright Stars 8-2 in a one sided duel officiated by FIFA Referee Alex Muhaabi at the Star Times Stadium, Lugogo.

KCCA’s goals were netted by Mike Mutyaba (hat-trick), Steven Sserwadda (2), the day’s captain Allan Okello (2) and late second half substitute Julius Poloto.

The two consolation goals from the visitors were scored by Christopher Kirya and Bronson Nsubuga.

KCCA now books their slot to the round of 32 stage whose draws will be held on a date to communicated by the FUFA Competitions department.

Meanwhile, the other game that had been scheduled for round of 64 between Vipers and Fort Portal’s Rushekere did not materialise because the visitors failed to travel to St Mary’s without any due communication.

Therefore, the FUFA Competitions committee will study the match referee’s report before communicating the way forward.
